The vision for Outreach of the Church of the Good Shepherd is to enthusiastically share our gifts and resources as well as strengthen and support our members for ministry. We focus on children and families, establish partnerships and act as God's stewards with love and prayer in our surrounding community and beyond.

Lake Grove School
This school year marks the twelth year of collaboration and support of Lake Grove Elementary, our adopted neighborhood school.
Good Shepherd parishioners provide school supplies, books and other assistance for over 375 children. At the beginning of each school year, generous donations purchase supplies that can be freely distributed throughout the school year. Donations may be made throughout the year by bringing items to the church office.
Other opportunities to support Lake Grove Elementary include a Christmas Food Basket Drive and The Lenten Book Drive. Special Occasion Team volunteers assist with the student hearing and sight tests.
Good Shepherd volunteers mentor and tutor selected Lake Grove students one-to-one on Wednesday afternoons through the school year. Contact Mary O. Haller for more information.

Prayer Shawls
The many hands of the Prayer Shawl ministry knit or crochet shawls and other items to give to those in need of loving and prayerful support.
The shawls are prayed over so recipients feel deeply snuggled in Christ's love. Extra hands are always welcome, as are donations of yarn.

Kairos Prison Ministry
Kairos Prison Ministry brings Christ's love and forgiveness to incarcerated men and women, their families and those who work with them. Just as Cursillo embraces the spiritual growth of those in the church community, Kairos is a chance for the community of Christ to reach out to men and women in prison to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. For more information, contact Preston Johnson or Vicki Van Blaricom, or http://www.kairosprisonministry.org
Federal Way Food Bank
Donations of food, clothing and toiletries may be left in the basket located just inside the main entrance of our church. These offerings will be blessed and taken to the Federal Way Multi-Service Center weekly.
